Our main production is the Watermelon One-Act Festival (WOAF), a two-day competition of original one-act plays that will be hosted by St. Mary's College of Maryland on June 3-4. We are also producing our very first Christmas Show - Songs to Lift Your Spirit - on December 16-17 at the College of Southern Maryland, Leonardtown campus.

We would like to thank our local hosts that let us use their stages and equipment, our wonderful volunteers (directors, actors, technicians, and student volunteers), and all the playwrights who have generously contributed their works to our festivals and continue to do so.

NEWS & ANNOUNCEMENTS:

  • The Baltimore Regional Representative for The Dramatists Guild of America will be one of our adjudicators for WOAF 2017!  We are extremely grateful to Mr. Brent Englar for taking the time to participate in our one-act festival.  We encourage everyone to visit The Dramatists Guild's website and learn about this fabulous organization!

  • Given this special opportunity to receive professional feedback on your original works, we will consider submissions that have been in other festivals again for 2017.  With all else being equal, preference will be given to submissions with committed directors and a total run time less than 30 minutes.

  • We will be accepting scripts for WOAF 2018 in the near future!  Visit PlaySubmissionsHelper.com/blog for a list of tons of contests and other play submission opportunities with deadlines coming up this month.
